stick vs non-sticks?

Posted by threassance - July 6th, 2011

so i recently checked back on newgrounds, have used the internet in ages, and i figured let's see what's going on, you know and watch some animations.
lots of artist, animators now make non-stick animations all related to paroedy of other shows we've already seen. not only are the concept non-original they are mostly poorly animated. i remember couple of years back, when they were lot's of stick animations it was constant to hear someone tell someone else to stop making stick animations and move on to making non-stick animations, seeing as those are considered to be the real deal.
the truth is that was never true. stick animation is just as highly rated as non-stick animation. they both take the same level of work although one is easier to begin with than the other. if needed to, a stick figure animation can just as creative as any other animation, and it is sad to see so many artist in the shame of doing stick animations now give themselves up to doing non-stick animations that are poorly animated. i say "if don't master stick figure animation to its fullest, you will never master the basic and important steps of animating non-stick animation".

The thing about stick figure animations is there's not much you can do with them. I mean you hardly ever see one that isn't a generic stick fight or baby's first animation.
